Definitely one of our more unusual projects, the installation of hot & cold water to ten new adventure lodges & a central Yurt at the Kingswood Centre, Bembridge.
The lodges are predominately canvas & timber construction & offer an alternative to traditional camping!
Each lodge is provided with hot & cold water which serves 2 no. Toilets, 2 no. Wash Basins & 2 no. Showers, while the central yurt provides cooking & washing up facilities.
The site cold water pressure is boosted by way of a 3600 litre insulated GRP storage tank and a twin pump booster set. The boosted cold water serves the lodges & the hot water generators in the form of 2 no. LPG powered Rinnai Infinity HDC1500i water heaters. Hot & cold water is then distributed to all the lodges via a system of underground pre-insulated pipework.
All mechanical services plant is located within a purpose made GRP housing adjacent to the new lodges.
